After 10 years as an associate at a general practice firm, I pursued my dream of opening my own law firm. Patricia Wood Law now serves individuals from all walks of life and families of all shapes and sizes. I’ve had the privilege of working with young adults just starting their careers to great-great grandparents securing a lasting legacy to their descendants. Every single client is important to me.
A little about me. I'm a people-person. I genuinely care about people and their lives. I also know myself to be a pragmatist. I prefer to deal with situations sensibly and realistically, always looking for ways to innovate to make life better. So, when people ask me why I decided to venture out on my own, my answer is simple. I opened this firm because I knew that I could provide infinitely better legal service if I could do it my way.
After earning my law degree from the Pennsylvania State University - Dickinson College of Law, I immediately packed up and moved to beautiful Virginia to begin my career. The rest, as they say, is history. As I tell people, I wasn’t born in Virginia, but I got here as fast as I could.
